Nicole

This is one of my favourite boudoir sessions of all times. Nicole was super nervous for this and at the beginning she actually had me a bit nervous, I didn't want to let her down. I wanted her to feel beautiful and empowered and for her to know that she was a bad ass confident women and that this wasn't a mistake. She told me about her fears and I really felt it in my heart. While getting ready we got to know each other and all I could think about, was how this could be one of her greatest accomplishments. Her putting herself out there in front of a complete stranger and literally hoping for the best. Nicole had told me that this is literally the second time she has ever worn makeup or done anything “girly”. She was completely out of her element. About an hour and a half later, Nicole was all beautified and I said "you're all done, go look in the mirror." I was waiting for her response, she put her hands over her mouth, looked for a few moments and said "Oh My God, is that really me?!?!" Her eyes teared up with happiness and I knew that she was already gaining my trust and that this was going to be an amazing session. The shoot went great and Nicole was rocking her boudoir experience in every way possible! She was easy to photograph and I adored all the outfits she took the time to pick for this big day. Nicole left with excitement and feeling proud of herself for finally getting boudoir photos. I knew at this time that she really felt like she accomplished something that was such a big deal for her. But, What I didn't know at the beginning of this session, was that this was also going to be one of my greatest accomplishments. Making Nicole feel so comfortable when she so nervous and unsure herself is why I feel like boudoir photography is so powerful. It’s not just pretty pictures of yourself, it’s a reassurance that when you are a women you can do anything, even in just a bra 💕 So, Thank you Nicole, and to all the other women who put their trust in my hands. THIS. IS. WHY. I. DO. BOUDOIR.
