When Lyndse asked me to photograph her engagement session I was more than thrilled. Lyndse and I went to college in Ottawa where we attending the Paramedic Program. Getting back to Ottawa and spending time with my college buddies sounded like a a great plan and I was so excited to make the trip. We waited months to plan the session as Lyndse and Craig wanted a winter session with lots of snow, so January it was. Ottawa is normally full of snow by this time but when I arrived on Friday night there was not a spec of snow on the ground! Lyndse was to say the least disappointed with Mother Nature but I tried to keep her positive by stating that things could change in the next 24 hours and maybe we will get some…. well did we ever!! As I was doing Lyndse’s makeup in the morning I looked up to see that it has started snowing! By the time we had left their home, Ottawa had become the perfect winter wonderland they wanted. Mind you it was about -20 (degrees) and freezing but we kept warm by taking breaks in the truck and hitting up a cute cafe/lounge. While taking a break at the cafe Lyndse and Craig enjoyed some warm drinks before we headed back to the house to grab their fur babies. Picking up the pups was so much fun and they were full of excitement running through the snow and jumping all over their parents. Happy to say that Lyndse and Craig got the session they wanted and we had the most perfect winter day!
